On December 15 2005 in V. Achemyan Dramatic Theatre, Gyumri, Shirak EXPO 2005 specialized exhibition of industries and services took place. The exhibition was organized by The Shirak Competitiveness Center with support of USAID and DAI
(Development Alternatives Inc.).
The goal of the event was to show all Armenia and others that Shirak marz was reviving and was competitive.
The exposition aimed to promote and improve the cooperative and collaborative capacity of entrepreneurs, as well as to create a highly informed customer base in the Shirak marz. More specifically it would help to promote development of small and medium businesses in the region; to strengthen the relationship between both sellers and buyers; to develop and unite the businesses by providing them information and communication; to provide an opportunity for businesses to exhibit and sell their products and services; to make necessary business contacts; to exchange their experiences; to make profitable contracts; and to be introduced to local and international partners and consumers.
The EXPO would promote SCC as the organizer. It would be a good chance to market SCC services.
